On the Wagoneer base trim, you can expect to see a powerful 5.7L V8 engine with eTorque. As it is a mild-hybrid system, low-end torque is added for increased starting power and off-road capability. It’s further paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Sequential shift control is located on the steering wheel. When it comes to power outputs, it achieves an impressive 392 horsepower, 404 lb-ft of torque, and a best-in-class maximum towing capacity of 10,000 pounds when properly equipped.

Fuel economy is another aspect of performance that’s great to check on. The Wagoneer comes equipped with a 26.5-gallon fuel tank, which certainly calls for longer trips. That said, the fuel economy of the Wagoneer is an EPA-estimated 16 city/22 highway MPG. You can see that while it has no problem navigating the traffic of modern city driving, it is more at home on the highway, taking long stretches of uninterrupted terrain. This amount of storage should suffice if you pack smartly and take exactly what you need. However, you aren’t locked into this option.

By folding down multiple rows of seats, you can extend the maximum interior cargo volume to 116.7 cubic feet, which allows you to bring along the big toys or as much gear as you need for a successful trip.
